Welcome Families,
On behalf of Mrs. Lakeisha Stokes Solomon, our executive director, thank you for your inquiry of H & S Learning Center's Out of School Time/ After School Program!
We are EXCITED & delighted to announce that H & S Learning Center will continue at our location Mt. Zion UMC, 1530 North 11th Street. (between Oxford and Jefferson) effective Wednesday, September 5th, 2017! IN ADDITION, WE ARE NOW A 12 MONTH PROGRAM!!!! Remember all those days where we were closed for weeks at a time....NO MORE!  Because YOU expressed your need for care, we have changed our calendar of operating days. Our calendar will be posted in the new calendar tab at the top of our website.

 

Our After-School Daily Schedule is as follows:

1:30 pm- 2:40 pm Staff arrives and preps and plans for program day

2:40 pm-3:15 pm staff/escorts proceed to schools for pick up/physical activity

3:15 to- 3:40p Physical activity

3:40p-4:00p Bathroom wash hands/Meal Time

4:00p-4:45p Homework assistance/tutoring

4:45p-5:20p Literacy/Math enrichment support

5:20p-5:50p Structured activities vary from day to day such as Project Based Learning, Service Learning, S.T.E.M. Activites, Hip Hop Dance, Hula Hoop Exercise, Martial Arts

Also foreign Language Support (French and Spanish) Tuesdays and Thursdays

5:50p-6:00 cooldown activities; Computer, Arts n Crafts, Teambuilders, etc.

6:00 pm Close/end of the day.
